Best smartphones under 20k in the Kenyan Market

With so many smartphone brands flocking the Kenyan market, we have compiled a list of the best smartphones you can get under Kshs 20,000.

Cubot Note 20 Pro

Cubot has been in the Kenyan Market for several years though it has not gained much popularity. The Cubot Note 20 Pro packs some good specs at a price of KES 15000. It is 4G capable and has a 6.5-inch LCD display (1080 x 2340 Pixels).

8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Cubot Note 20 Pro comes with a huge 4200mAH battery. 8MP selfie camera and three rear cameras, main camera 20MP, secondary 12MP, and a third 8MP camera.

The Cubot Note 20 pro is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 (MT6771) with Android 9 which should handle day-to-day tasks easily.

Tecno Camon 16S

Tecno is not a new name to many people. The brand entered the Kenyan market over 8 years ago and they’ve established a very good relationship with their customers. Tecno is owned by a Hong -Kong-based company Transsion Holdings which also owns Infinix and Itel Mobile.

The camon 16S has a 6.6 LCD Dot display with a resolution of 720 x 1600.

An internal storage of 128GB with 4GB RAM. Has a 8MP Selfie camera and Quad camera set up ; 48 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.0″, 0.8µm, PDAF,2 MP, f/2.4, (macro),2 MP, f/2.4, (depth), the 4th camera is not clear.

Samsung Galaxy M11

Samsung has been around for a very long time. Apart from their high end S and Note series, Samsung has also brought their concentration on budget smartphones to try and beat their competition and remain in the market.

Brands like Xiaomi, Realme, and others have in recent years gained popularity forcing Samsung to concentrate more on budget phones to avoid being wiped out.

Oppo has established its mark in the Kenyan market since around 2015, they’ve managed to win many hearts and have since grown popular.

Xiaomi just celebrated their 10th anniversary and in 10 years they`ve made their mark in the smartphone industry. Being one of the best brands Xiaomi has smartphones packed with great specs.

Redmi Note 9 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a 19.5:9 ratio. It runs on Android 10 and is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) chipset.
