For many years, customers had to wait for days before receiving money from PayPal because using a bank was the only option. Luckily, a collaboration between Safaricom and PayPal has changed all of that. Now you can do it in a few minutes using your phone.

PayPal to M-Pesa service is now available. The withdrawal amount in USD is converted to KES automatically using the current exchange rate, and a withdrawal commission is applied. Funds take 2 hours to 3days to reflect on your M-Pesa account depending on the value of the transaction.

However, for you to use this service, you must have a PayPal account. To register for PayPal visit www.paypal.com

After you have a Paypal account, visit www.m-pesapaypal.com to link with your M-Pesa account.

How do I transfer money from PayPal to M-Pesa Kenya?

PayPal’s Withdraw Service allows you to transfer funds from your PayPal account to your linked qualifying M-PESA account.

Select Withdraw from your PayPal account. (Your current balance will be displayed). Please remember that you can only withdraw up to the available USD balance in your PayPal account.
Secondly, enter the amount of money you want to withdraw from your PayPal account in US Dollars and press the withdraw button.
Once you press the withdraw button, you will be redirected to a page that displays the amount to be received in Ksh, the currency conversion rate, and an estimate of the transaction processing time.
Lastly, to confirm and complete the Withdraw Transaction, click Confirm.
